It started like every other family beach day: a slow walk along the shoreline, cold wind in your face, kids zig-zagging between shells and driftwood like tiny treasure hunters.
Then a 9-year-old boy bent down, grabbed what he assumed was just another rock… and immediately felt something was off.
It wasn’t the smooth, light beach stone you skip across water.
This thing had weight. A weird shape. Patterns that looked almost… designed.
He turned it over in his hand, and that’s when the “ordinary rock” stopped being ordinary.
Because what he’d picked up wasn’t a rock at all.
It was a fossil — a real one.
