“You released that footage! Defamation! We’re being harassed! We’re prepared to sue! Take it down!”
Mr. Caruso didn’t blink.
“Interesting,” he said, voice smooth. “Because the story didn’t name anyone. Didn’t show faces. So if you sue… you’ll be publicly admitting you’re the family who walked out on an $850 bill.”
He paused. Then smiled.
“Would you like me to call the police for you?”
Mr. Thompson froze.
Around the room, customers quietly pulled out phones.
Mrs. Thompson grabbed his sleeve and hissed, “Just pay and leave.”
