Police also addressed the rumors that began circulating online claiming that a suspect had been taken into custody and confessed to Ashley’s killing.

Authorities clarified that the claims were false and that no such information had been released by the Tipp City Police Department, the City of Tipp, or any partnering law enforcement agencies.
