“He Was Doing His Job”
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Vice President JD Vance dismissed calls for accountability as political theater.
“He was doing his job,” Vance said.
He accused Minnesota officials and political opponents of trying to “make this guy’s life miserable” for carrying out federal orders.
“The idea that Tim Walz and a bunch of radicals are going to go after him,” Vance added, “is preposterous.”
The message was unmistakable.
From the administration’s perspective, the matter is already settled.
A woman may be dead—but the agent is protected.
