Arthur kicked the door.

Inside, champagne glasses froze mid-air.

Dylan stood by the fireplace, smiling like nothing was wrong.

“Arthur,” he said smoothly. “Rachel isn’t well. You shouldn’t encourage this.”

Margot appeared beside him, silk scarf perfect, voice loud enough for everyone to hear.

“We’re protecting the twins,” she sighed. “She’s unstable.”

Arthur stepped forward.

“And the $150,000 you stole?”

Margot laughed. “We safeguarded it.”

Arthur’s eyes didn’t leave hers.

“You really think fake medical notes cover wire fraud?”

Dylan leaned in, venom low. “No one will believe her. Or you.”

Arthur nodded once.

“Enjoy the party,” he said. “It’s your last.”
