“Those business trips…” Mom whispered.

“The prime minister of Singapore is holding,” Marcus added.

Dad stared. “The prime minister?”

“We’re building their national tech infrastructure,” I said, grabbing my coat.

Marcus leaned in. “Also the Saudi contract closed. And the EU deal.”

I checked my watch.

“Marcus, bring the car. We need to get to the office.”

“Your office?” Mom asked weakly.

“The main headquarters is in Singapore,” I replied. “London, Dubai, São Paulo too.”

Dad stood shakily. “Elena… about my offer to help…”

I smiled. “I have a board meeting. Fortune 500 CEOs get nervous if you’re late.”
