The evening at the BAFTAs was filled with anticipation as attendees gathered to celebrate the best in film. However, the ceremony took an unexpected turn when the atmosphere was disrupted.

Alan Cumming, the host of the night, found himself in a challenging position. As Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo took the stage to present one of the coveted awards, a sudden outburst caught everyone by surprise.

A Tourette’s activist, present in the audience, shouted a racial slur—a moment that immediately shifted the mood of the event.

John Davidson, whose film *I Swear* had garnered five nominations, was amongst those celebrating a personal milestone. The film, a narrative of Davidson’s life with Tourette’s, had attracted significant attention.

The outburst seemed to overshadow the festivities, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a night of joy and recognition.

As the audience reacted, tensions rose, leaving an air of discomfort hanging over the auditorium.
