Below Deck star, 33, says he suffered heart attack due to vaping as he warns others about shocking first symptoms

Olender joined the Bravo series in 2021, first working as a second steward before rising to chief steward for the following seasons.

He said the sudden heart attack caused him to experience fear and pain unlike anything else he has known.

Beyond chest pain and breathing difficulties, he shared what medical experts reportedly told him afterward.

“Whatever was in my vape caused me to have a coronary artery vasospasm,” he explained.

He added that medically this meant the arteries supplying blood to his heart suddenly clamped down.

According to his account, the vasospasm reduced blood flow enough to cause an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), commonly known as a heart attack — not because of a blockage, but because his heart wasn’t getting enough oxygen during the spasm.
