California Mother Faces Involuntary Manslaughter Charge After Fatal E-Motorcycle Crash Involving Teen Son
An Orange County, California mother who was previously charged in connection with a serious hit-and-run incident is now facing a far more severe legal situation after the victim of the crash has died.
Prosecutors announced that Tommi Jo Mejer, 50, of Aliso Viejo, has been formally charged with felony involuntary manslaughter, in addition to earlier charges, following the death of Ed Ashman, an 81-year-old Vietnam veteran and substitute teacher.
