This homemade, inexpensive, and natural trick improves gas efficiency and can help you reduce consumption without investing in expensive products or modifying your equipment.

The problem is often not in the quantity of gas, but in the quality of combustion. Over time, the burners in the kitchen, water heater, or gas heater fill up with grease and debris. This prevents complete combustion, causing the flame to look yellow instead of blue, resulting in higher consumption.

The solution, however, might be simpler than you think. Lemon, with its natural acidity, is an excellent ally. It dissolves grease, rust, and accumulated residues, improving the quality of the flame and prolonging gas duration.

First and foremost, ensure safety. Make sure the burners are off and cool before proceeding. Once you’re ready, cut a lemon in half and squeeze a little juice over the dirty areas of your burners. It’s that simple.
