Rafael snapped his fingers. “Well? Cinderella?”

Marina set the tray down on the nearest table.

The metal clanged loud enough to cut through laughter.

“I accept,” she said.

The room buzzed.

Rafael blinked like he hadn’t expected the background to speak.
