Mayor and Governor Speak Out
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey questioned the ongoing federal operations during a press briefing.
“How many more residents, how many more Americans need to die or get badly hurt for this operation to end?” Frey asked.
The mayor described the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown as an “invasion” and directly appealed to the president.
“Put Minneapolis, put America first,” he said.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz also addressed the incident, stating that he had spoken directly with the White House.
In a statement posted on social media, Walz said Minnesota had reached a breaking point.
