Frey also referenced other footage already circulating online.
In that video, he said, the ICE agent involved appears to walk away from the scene without visible injury.
“[The ICE officer] walked away with a hop in his step from the incident,” Frey stated.
He then drew a stark contrast.
“There’s another person that’s dead,” the mayor said.
“He held on his cell phone. I think that speaks for itself.”
The comments underscore a growing rift between local leaders and federal authorities.
As investigations continue, the footage — and the questions it raises — are unlikely to fade from public scrutiny.
