Method 2: Use Peppermint Oil Spray
Peppermint essential oil is far more concentrated than the plant.
That makes it especially effective.
To use it:
- Mix several drops of peppermint oil with water
- Add a small amount of vinegar or alcohol to help it disperse
- Spray along baseboards, corners, and dark spaces
Focus on areas where mice:
- Enter the home
- Hide or nest
- Travel along walls
If you are also using traps, spray peppermint in areas away from the traps to guide mice toward exits or specific locations.
Important safety note:
Peppermint oil can be irritating or harmful in high doses.
Use it sparingly and keep it out of reach of pets and children.
