Other Smells That Can Help Repel Mice
Peppermint isn’t the only scent mice dislike.
Other commonly used deterrents include:
- Vinegar
- Garlic
- Cinnamon
- Cloves
- Eucalyptus
Some people also use dryer sheets or mothballs.
However, these should be used cautiously and sparingly.
Ammonia and used cat litter can also repel mice, but they come with strong odors and safety concerns.
Deterrents work best when combined with good prevention.
