And as the days pass, their determination has only grown stronger.
A Simple Argument Before Everything Changed
Weston, a student at Auburn University, was traveling through Japan with his parents, Nancy and Keith Higginbotham, when the unexpected happened.
According to his mother, the family had experienced a minor disagreement while staying in Kyoto.
Like many families do while traveling together, emotions were running high.
“He just needed time by himself,” Nancy explained. “We all did.”
No one imagined that would be the last time they would see him.
