Part II – A Home for Three

The clatter of the wagon wheels on the dirt track was the only sound that broke the silence. Each jolt sent a tremor through their small group, but Harrison kept a steady hand on the reins.

As they rounded a bend, the ranch came into view—a modest yet sturdy home, nestled among fields waiting to be tended. It was more than they had dared to hope for, and yet, so different from what they had known.

Rebecca’s thoughts raced as they approached the home. Would it be enough to sustain them? Could they truly carve out a life here?

Their arrival was marked by a swirl of dust and a sudden stillness. The ranch was theirs now, a promise of shelter and new memories.

Harrison helped Martha down from the wagon, and Rebecca followed, her eyes scanning the landscape. The possibilities were as vast as the sky above them.

Standing together, they felt the weight of their journey lift, if only for a moment. They were home.
