Put raw chicken into the crock with stuffing mix and dont stir

The raw chicken releases juices as it cooks, which combine with added liquid (usually broth or water) to hydrate the stuffing mix from above.

The stuffing mix on top stays fluffy, while the bottom layer absorbs savory chicken broth—creating a casserole-like texture.

No stirring needed: Disturbing it can make the stuffing gummy.

This mimics baked chicken and stuffing—but with zero hands-on time.
