– Choose which side acts as the microphone, or set it to switch automatically.
– Adjust noise control and related options so one ear isn’t always doing the hardest job.
Rotating those roles means both AirPods share the wear over time instead of one side always draining faster and degrading sooner.
It sounds minor, but across hundreds of charge cycles, it can make a noticeable difference in how long the batteries stay balanced.
