The incident occurred on Saturday, January 24, and has since ignited a wave of celebrity reactions. According to the Department of Homeland Security, federal immigration agents fired shots in self-defense, alleging that Pretti was armed with a handgun. However, witness accounts and video footage contradict this claim, showing Pretti holding a cell phone.
