When the show ended in 2005, Sawyer was ten. He’d spent more than half his life in front of cameras. While his twin Sullivan kept acting here and there, Sawyer stepped away. He wanted normal.
The problem was, normal felt impossible.
Sawyer had ADHD. School was hard. His mind worked differently, and some days that felt like a curse. His cousin Jacklyn would later say depression ran through their family like a river none of them could dam.
“It just runs in the family,” she said. “Something we’ve all inherited.”
Some inheritances are money. Some are houses. Some are eyes the color of the ocean. And some are shadows that follow you everywhere you go.
By 2015, Sawyer and Sullivan were 19. They owned a house together in California. Still inseparable. Still sharing everything like they had in the womb.
