The Conductor’s Warning at the Train Station Changed Everything I Thought I Knew About My Daughter

“I was told we might be in danger?”

He nodded, his expression unreadable.

“Please, step into my office.”

Inside, the room was sparse, functional.

I took a seat, my hands fidgeting in my lap.

“What’s going on?” I asked, my voice barely steady.

Every word felt heavy, loaded with implications.

“Incidents?” I pressed, needing more than vague answers.

“Yes, but I assure you, we’re taking every precaution.”

His assurance did little to calm my nerves.

“And my daughter?”
