Most people would probably sweep them into the trash and never think about them again.
But in a small village hidden among the hills of northern Italy, objects almost exactly like these were once linked to a story so strange that local families refused to speak about it after sunset.
And according to village legend, finding them was never considered a good sign.
The Discovery
The story began in the autumn of 1968.
An elderly widow named Signora Bellini lived alone in a centuries-old stone farmhouse near the edge of a forest.
