Drew Brees began at Purdue as a walk-on, quickly becoming a standout for his accuracy and leadership. He finished his college career with 12,693 passing yards, 90 touchdowns, and a school-record 11,792 yards in his final two seasons combined.
Drafted in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, Brees overcame early challenges, including shared playing time and injuries, before becoming a consistent starter known for pinpoint accuracy and field vision.
Joining the New Orleans Saints in 2006, Brees turned the franchise around. Over 20 NFL seasons, he completed 7,142 passes on 10,551 attempts for 85,700 yards, threw 571 touchdowns, and maintained a career passer rating of 97.7.
