With the latest update, nationals from 39 countries now face either full or partial limits on entering the United States.

According to the administration, the new rules are aimed at national security.

The White House said the president is acting to ensure that those entering the U.S. “will not harm the American people.”

The bans are set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
