‘I’m Not the Grandma, I’m the Great-Grandma!’
But if you thought Goldberg would embrace a glamorous nickname like “Glam-ma,” think again.

When Hostin asked what her great-grandchildren call her, Goldberg clarified in true Whoopi fashion:
No, they call me Whoopi, because I’m not the grandma, I’m the great grandma! So just Whoopi.
Sara Haines brought the laughs, recalling Goldberg’s first great-grandchild — now 11 — who had trouble with her Ws:
Oopi, sit down!

Goldberg smiled at the memory.
She couldn’t say her Ws, so I was ‘Oopi’ for the longest time. So we’ll see, but I think this one, she’s ready to get stuff done.
The baby’s name sparked a social media frenzy, with fans sharing their love in the comments.
The baby has a very cool [great-grandmother].
Love the name! Congrats, Grandma!
Love her name!
This isn’t Goldberg’s first time stepping into the role of great-grandmother. Her first great-grandchild, Charli Rose, arrived in 2014, and Goldberg shared the emotional moment with fans in a personal video on Instagram.

I’m doing something I haven’t done in 40 years. I’m actually feeding.
She captioned the post:
Everyone meet the new addition to my family Charli Rose and yea I’m a tad awkward it took me a minute been a LONG time! #thankGod4newlife [sic]!
Now, just over a decade later, Goldberg’s family tree has grown even more vibrant — and more visible.
