Nobody Expected These Numbers… America’s Job Market Is Defying Predictions Once Again 🇺🇸

Wage growth remained relatively slow, and economists noted that fewer working-age Americans are currently looking for jobs — a trend that could weaken the labor market over time.

Revised government figures also showed that employment growth has been highly volatile in recent months. The economy lost 156,000 jobs in February before rebounding sharply with 185,000 jobs added in March.

When averaged over the last three months, job creation stands at roughly 48,000 jobs per month — a number economists say is just enough to keep up with population growth and absorb new workers entering the labor force.
